Water Filtration Plant
What is Filtration? Filtration is basically separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through that only the liquid can pass.

Examples are:
cake filter
Kidney filter
Liquid filtration.

Materials

1.bottle
2.filter paper
3.sand
4.rocks
5.scissors
6.water

Step 1 (Cut the bottle in half)

Step 2 (Put the top half upside down

STEP 3 (put a piece of filter paper in the bottle)

STEP 4 (Add layers of sand in the bottle)

STEP 5 (pure 1 cup of rocks on top of the sand)

STEP 6 (Get 1 cup of dirty water)

STEP 7 (Pour the dirty water into the bottle)

Measurements
The first thing you need to do is get Bottle and cut it in half then you want to get filter paper and fold that twice and use one side of the paper as a funnel. After you want to put it in the top half of the bottle where the cap goes and don't put your cap one btw.

Write a short sentence about the water every 1 minute.
Include 'How much water has filtered through', 'How fast it is dripping through', and 'How clear the water is'.
our group's work has actually worked it drips down really slowly its clean water kind of and I think we have done a great job

Stop motion

two weeks ago my group and I  started do a thing called story board. Your probably asking what a story board is well it is a basically a paper with some boxes drawn on the paper and you just sketch or draw your sene its only of your making a little video and you you know just planning you scene my group and I made one here is a photo of ours
So as u can see under the boxes
There are these little rows and that's what you use the basically write what is Happening in every scene. When we're finished with everything we use stop motion oh also we are using a white board to draw the scene so everything you see in that photo will be recorded on a white board. Anyway lets get bck to were we were in stop motion. So you know what stop means right and also motion well you join those two things together and it's called stop motion but how do u use it. Well first you need to get prepared and plane your scene when you have done that you want to records or about like two seconds and puse the video and if you are using a white board then erase all or some of it and do your next step and keep doing that Remeber puse play puse play to your done and once your done watch the video. It's you fun to make it and you can be as creative as you want. My next step in just to. Make our video and do a voice over.

Waitangi Day

                                                                 Waitangi Day

In 7/8al we have been learning about what is the treaty of waitangi and i have learnt a lot of things that I haven't known about. The things I have learnt was that the treaty of waitangi was signed in waitangi in the bay islands on February 6,1840. It was signed by the representatives of Maori tribal groups and the British leaders representing the British crown . It was been called the most important document in New Zealand history and New Zealand's founding document.

So that's one thing I have learnt. It was really cool learning about these things. Also there where two
different versions of Te tiriti o waitangi signed one in Maori and one in English. This has caused many problems over the years because wording and meaning was not really the same.
This meant that the Maori chiefs were signing over more control and power to the British leaders than  they realised. Also Waitangi Day is celebrated in a variety of ways and many travel to waitangi for official treaty.
