scones

Aim: To look at different kitchen ingredients in scones and their effects.
Materials:

1. butter
2. milk
3. spoon to mix with
4. bowl
5 .flower
6. baking powder
7. Oven
8. Baking soda
9. Paper
10 pen/pencil
11 lemonade
12 plate
13 tray
Process for Normal
Step 1:get a bowl and spoon
Step 2:add approximately ½ cup of flower
Step 3:add 1 tsp of baking powder
Step 4:add 2 tsp of butter
Step 5:add a cup of milk
Step 6:them mix and knead it with hands into a bowl

White powder experiment

Aim: To learn about the makeup of different white powders.

There are a number of different white powders in our everyday life. Some of these are harmful and others are not. Test the four white powders listed to see which one has been found at the airport.

Here are some examples of everyday kitchen white powders.

Flour, Cornflour, Sugar, Salt, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Icing Sugar, Tartaric Acid, Citric Acid, Gluten Free flour

  2. 4 white powder (Sugar, Salt, Baking soda & Corn flour)
  3. Magnifying glass
  4. Pipette
  5. Chemicals (Vinegar, Iodine & Water)

Sherbet

Making Sherbet


Using the following recipe you need to make sherbet.
Sherbet recipe

Recipe: 

1tsp of powdered drink crystals (eg refresh)
1/4 tsp citric acid
1/4 tsp tartaric acid
1/4 tsp -baking soda.
Put all ingredients into a zip lock bag, stir, and enjoy.

Materials:

1.  cup or zip lock bag
2. citric acid 
3. icing sugar
4.  tartaric acid
5.  raro/ flavoured jelly crystals

crazy crystals

AIM: to learn  about a saturated solution and how to make crystals.

BORAX CRYSTALS
    Materials :
  1. borax.
  2. Hot water/warm water.
  3. 3 Fluffy pip cleaners .
  4. cup.
  5. Spoon.
  6. peg.

PROCESS
  1. Get a cup.
  2. Put 3 tbs of borax in a  cup.
  3. Pure a cup of hot /warm water and mix.
  4. Get a pipe cleaner and shape it in any shape you want.
  5. Get a peg and put it on ur shape  and hang it on the cup.
  6. Wait about 2 day’s.



SUGAR CRYSTALS
Materials:
  1. sugar.
  2. hot/ Warm water.
  3. A cup.
  4. A spoon.
  5. 1  brown pipe  cleaner.
  6. peg.


PROCESS:
  1. Grab a cup .
  2. Add 6 tbs of sugar.
  3. Pure almost a cup of hot /warm water and mix.
  4. Get a brown pipe cleaner.
  5. Put a peg on the pipe cleaner and out it in the cup.
  6. Wait  about 2 day’s .


Salt crystals
Materials:
  1. Salt.
  2. hot / warm Water .
  3. Cup.
  4. Spoon.
  5. Pipe cleaner.
  6. peg.



PROCESS:
  1. Grab a cup and a spoon.
  2. Add 3 tbs of salt .
  3. Pure almost a cup of warm/hot water .
  4. Get a pipe cleaner .
  5. Grab a peg and put it in the pipe cleaner .
  6. Wait about 2 day’s.
